We are at another turning point in product development. AI is moving fast, and the truth is that no one has fully figured out what it means yet. We are all still working to understand how our teams, our roles, and the way we build products is changing, and how it has already changed.

The PDMA community of innovators and product developers wants to understand where we’re at and where we may be going.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

What this is

The AI Threshold Project is a PDMA supported research initiative designed to capture what product and innovation leaders are actually experiencing with AI: the excitement, the uncertainty, and the things most people don't say out loud in a meeting.

PDMA’s kHUB team has partnered with Jake McKee, a consultant and engagement strategist, to lead the project. Jake will manage the survey, conduct in-depth interviews with selected community members, and synthesize everything into practical content for the PDMA community.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

How the findings will be shared

Everything from this project will be published right here on PDMA's kHUB. Here is what we know is coming:

Survey Report: A data-backed look at how product and innovation leaders across industries are approaching AI right now.
Interview Series: In-depth conversations with community members who are willing to share what they are really experiencing.
The Field Report: A short, plain-language summary of what we heard from the community. Not a deep dive into the numbers, just the most important things the data revealed, written in a way that is easy to read, easy to share, and useful to anyone leading a product or innovation team right now.

We will continue to add to this page as the project develops and more content is ready to share.

We need your voice

This project only works if the PDMA community weighs in. The survey takes about 12 to 15 minutes. It covers your current experience with AI, the opportunities you see, the concerns you have, and what you think product leaders need to understand about where this is all going.

Your responses are confidential and reported only in aggregate.

At the end of the survey, you will have the option to volunteer for a follow-up interview with Jake if you want to go deeper.
