Description
PDMA St. Louis’s eight-week professional development training program covers the fundamentals of Product Management and Innovation to help you prepare for the NPD exam. PDMA is excited to announce the 2nd edition of NPD Professional Body of Knowledge (BoK), which combines all preparation materials needed for the exam into a single publication. PDMA St. Louis is now offering a series of seven courses to cover the entirety of the BoK to fully prepare you for the NPD exam.
Who should attend?
This training is designed for everyone from those excited to enter the field of Product Management for the first time to Product Management Professionals, Managers, Innovators, and members of Product Development teams who want to gain a greater understanding of Product Management and new Product Development.

About the Instructors
Caitlin Bissell
Caitlin Bissell abandoned her Chemical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech in favor of an MBA in strategic marketing from Carlson School of Business and AIPMM certification. She has 15 years’ experience in product management across industrial and medical device markets and currently works for 3M in their medical solutions division.
Susan Burek
Susan Burek is the Product Manager and Administrator for PDMA’s kHUB. She also contracts as a Senior Consultant at Foresight Science and Technology. Previously, she was a Program Manager at Stanley, Black & Decker, Newell Brands and Ingersoll Rand. She spent most of her career at Eastman Kodak Company in new product development, as well as in environment, health, safety, and regulatory roles. She is the current president with the Carolinas Chapter of PDMA. Sue earned a BS in chemistry and an MS in product development from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Jerry Fix
Jerry Fix is currently a Principal Consultant with Daugherty Business Solutions. He has over 20 years of professional experience and has held senior roles in engineering, product management and marketing at Fortune 500 companies such as Panasonic, Parker Hannifin, Hewlett Packard, and Boeing.
He is the chapter author/editor of the Innovation Lifecycle chapter of the PDMA Body of Knowledge, 2nd Edition.
Jerry is the President of the St. Louis PDMA chapter and continues to be a regular volunteer and presenter at product management events in St. Louis. Jerry has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech, and an MBA from St. Louis University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Missouri and is NPDP certified by PDMA.
Stacy Heuer
Stacy Heuer is a Principal Consultant at Integrated Project Management Company (IPM). She has a B.S. In Food Science from Purdue University with over 25 years of program and project management experience focusing on new product development from Discovery through Launch in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. Stacy has held a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification since 2006 and is certified as a New Product Development Professional (NPDP) by Product Development and Management Association since 2010.
Andreas Maihoefer
As a consultant, executive, and educator, Andreas Maihoefer is passionate about guiding teams through successful projects and sharing knowledge and best practices in product management and innovation along the way. For more than 25 years, Andreas has been leading product management, marketing and strategy development helping multinational Fortune 500 companies and startups in developing and commercializing multi-million dollar product lines. He shares his experiences with young talent and seasoned practitioners teaching product management at the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Product Development and Management Association
Susan Penta
Susan Penta Susan is an engineer, entrepreneur, educator, and consultant with a passion for products, fascination with technology, and commitment to community that has underscored her 35-year career. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner at MIDIOR, Susan oversees the delivery of professional services and MIDIOR’s operations. For her clients, Susan crosses organizational and cultural boundaries to facilitate a common product and technology perspective, inspire innovative thinking, optimize team output, and improve financial performance. Susan is also the Co-Owner and President of Modern Administration Systems where she provides leadership and strategic direction to the company’s operations. As an educator, Susan served for 18 years as an Executive Professor on the adjunct faculty at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business, as well as in Northeastern’s Corporate Education programs where she taught graduate courses in entrepreneurship and innovation. Susan is also a frequent guest lecturer and public speaker on the topics of innovation, entrepreneurship, and product organizations.
Susan is active with many non-profits, most often at the intersection of education, entrepreneurship, and marginalized populations. Susan currently serves as the Chair of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network Advisory Board and director on the GBCC board, as Director Emeritus and past Board Chair for the Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE), as Trustee and past Board Chair for Schools for Children, as a trustee with the Children’s Trust of Massachusetts, as a Leadership Advisory Board member for EforAll Cape Cod, and as a member of the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers Executive Council. Susan puts considerable energy into advancing the domains within which she works, lifting up women in business and STEM, supporting small businesses and investing her time to nurture and support the disciplines aligned with her work. Susan currently serves as Chair of the Product Development & Management Association’s (PDMA) Board of Directors, is a founding member of WPI’s Women’s Impact Network (WIN) and an advisor and mentor to many entrepreneurs and former students.
Susan holds a BSEE degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and an MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London, England.
Sasi Ravichander
Sasi Ravichander is a Product Management Manager at Mastercard, driving strategy for current and future Electronic Health Records. She has more than 16 years of experience delivering products in population health, academic clinical and health plan spaces. As a process-oriented technology leader, Sasi is passionate about delivering able web & data products with an outstanding eye for quality.
