September 2024 - Inner Groove Brewing Happy Hour

Another fantastic PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter event in the books. 

Thank you to the PDMA community. We had a packed event with a very diverse group of product professionals in roles and industries truly representative to the Pittsburgh region. From students to CEOs and Founders to “Product” folks at every layer - it really is an incredible group.

July 2024 - Aslin Brewery Product Marketing Workshop

Product and Marketing! The American Marketing Association - AMA Pittsburgh and the PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter’s workshop was something unique.

We saw excellent opportunities for collaborative conversation, problem solving, as well as new relationships forge as product and marketing professionals joined our rotating breakout sessions.

This allowed for the discovery of new perspectives, actionable ideas, and opportunity between attendees to collaborate.

June 2024 - Lawrence Hall Happy Hour

We had another great PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter Happy Hour networking event at Lawrence Hall in Lawrenceville.🍻 Over 100 product professionals on a midsummers day! Thank you to all our corporate and event sponsors Tronix3D MSA - The Safety Company OpenArc, LLC. Bally Design Adobe and others. Thanks to our board members. It was great to network and meet new and familiar friends!

 

May 2024 - One Valley 

Thanks to everyone who attended and participated in the PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter event last night at One Valley with the conversation lead by Steven Frank from Thoughtform.

The audience was also amazing and participated by really joining in on the conversations with questions and insights. There was also a lot of great networking before and after the event!

 

April 2024 - Aurora Innovation Center

PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter had another wonderful happy hour at Aurora Innovation on Wednesday, April 24th for its monthly Company Showcase Happy Hour Event.

During this fun networking event, we learned how Aurora Innovation's self-driving technology increases efficiency and mobility, while bringing a reliable driver supply and heightened safety to America’s roads. We got to check out an autonomous minivan, videos, and a semi-truck that were in the front parking lot.

Not to mention we also mixed and mingled with like-minded product development professionals while enjoying craft beers and tasty appetizers. Special thanks to CMU Tepper School for bringing their current class of Product Management students from their Master's program.

March 2024 - Sheetz Innovation Center Innovation Panel

On March 30th, PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter held a sold out panel discussion about innovation's impact on product management at the Sheetz Innovation Center in Bakery Square. Special thanks to Sheetz for opening their Innovation Center to the product community for this engaging event. We had an amazing lineup of panelists who shared their expertise and insights with attendees.

February 2024 - Robotics Factory Tour

Thank you to the Robotics Factory for opening up their facility for the PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter Happy Hour event. Dejana Raggi and Andrew Katon enjoyed connecting with our product-minded group about all the resources available at the Robotics Factory and Innovation Works to help entrepreneurs take their products from prototype to market. 

 

January 2024 - Women in Bio Panel

WIB-Pittsburgh, in collaboration with PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter, showcased an esteemed panel of women with life-science and other backgrounds who successfully transitioned into careers in the world of product. We learned about a day in the life of different product professionals, the skills needed for these careers, and how to successfully land one of these positions. 

The panel of experts included:

- Yelina Kim, Product Manager, Techcyte
- Lindsy Thomas Bartoleit, Sr. Manager, Brand &Experience, Cook MyoSite
- Linda van Roosmalen PhD, Consultant at LINC Design LLC

Andrea Joseph Ruttenberg, Associate Principal, Applied Marketing Science, moderated the panel discussion.

Although some panel topics were more relevant to women and those in life sciences, everyone in attendance took something away from the panelists' experiences. We elevated our career aspirations and broadened our horizons at this amazing event.
