April 2024

PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter had another wonderful happy hour at Aurora Innovation on Wednesday, April 24th for its monthly Company Showcase Happy Hour Event.

During this fun networking event, we learned how Aurora Innovation's self-driving technology increases efficiency and mobility, while bringing a reliable driver supply and heightened safety to America’s roads. We got to check out an autonomous minivan, videos, and a semi-truck that were in the front parking lot.

Not to mention we also mixed and mingled with like-minded product development professionals while enjoying craft beers and tasty appetizers. Special thanks to CMU Tepper School for bringing their current class of Product Management students from their Master's program.

March 2024

PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter on March 30th held a Panel Discussion about Innovation's Impact on Product Management at the Sheetz Innovation Center in Bakery Square. This was the first time Sheetz opened their Innovation Centers doors to the product community.  What an amazing panel and fascinating insights we gained on innovation as we packed out the house.

Thank you to PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter for hosting their February Happy Hour at the Robotics Factory last night! Dejana Raggi and Andrew Katon loved connecting with this product-minded group about all the resources available at the Robotics Factory and Innovation Works to help entrepreneurs take their products from prototype to market. We hope to see some attendees applying for the 2024 Robotics Factory Accelerate Cohort and future Scale Residency Programs.

 WIB-Pittsburgh in collaboration with PDMA Pittsburgh Chapter brought to you an esteemed panel of women with life-science and other backgrounds who successfully transitioned into careers in the world of product. We learned about a day in the life of different product professionals, the skills needed for these careers, and how to successfully land one of these positions. You’ll have the opportunity to network with product professionals over refreshing drinks and light food.

The panel of experts includes:

Andrea Joseph Ruttenberg, Associate Principal, Applied Marketing Science, moderated the panel discussion.

This event was open to everyone - regardless of gender or professional background. Although some panel topics were more relevant to women and those in life sciences, everyone still took something away from the panelists' experiences. We elevated our career aspirations and broadened our horizons at this amazing event!
