However, confusion between Innovation and Idea generation (Ideation) often results in companies warmly embracing tactics such as online ideation; creativity; and design thinking, but with little or no consideration for the alignment of these activities to their overall business strategy & priorities

Among the suggested activities to be performed during the “Front-End” of the innovation are: The alignment of the ideas generation and selection to the innovation strategy, the adequate management of the ideation processes establishing rules and procedures and the support and autonomy to employees for creativity tasks
These include: Stakeholder Alignment: B2B decision-making involves multiple stakeholders with diverse priorities and perspectives
Prioritizing the portfolio projects according to business strategy ensures proper alignment with company goals
